Launch of the first edition of Paris Education Week at the OECD

The Ligue de l’Enseignement , the premier non-governmental Education organization in France has tasked The Global Compass, in collaboration with the OECD, with organizing the Inaugural conference  of the Paris Education Week. Held on Monday November 14th 2016 at the OECD, the event brought together OECD experts, researchers, Governments and civil society representatives to address the following issue : Governments and Civil Society: Co-designing a Digital Future in Education

Andreas Schleicher, OECD Director for the Directorate of Education and Skills, Head and founder of the PISA programme, served as a keynote speaker.

Ms Najat Vallaud-Belkacem, French Minister of Education and Mr Angel Gurria, OECD Secreteray General gave the closing remarks together with Nadia Bellaoui, Secretary General of the Ligue de l’Enseignement and Gabriela Ramos, Sherpa of the OECD.
